Decoration technique by Yuki Mori

Some friends came over this weekend for lunch and cookie decorating. Yuki Mori showed how to make these beautiful cookies.

The technique used rolled fondant and texture mats. The mats were made by a company called Autumn Carpenter. Outlets for buying them can be found on their web site.

Yuki's new book will be published in October and she will introduce cakes recipes as well as decorating techniques. We are all looking forward to the new book.

 We also made heart cookies with the same fondant and 
 texture mat technique.

 I think I will try this for Halloween cookies. A chocolate
 cookie with yellow and orange decorations should  be a
 nice combination.
